I had my first group class today and boy am I jello now!! Weights killed me. But I loved it.
I also downloaded a food tracking app and I am doing pretty well there too!
My trial membership at this gym is done in 3 weeks then I think I am going to a cheaper gym and getting a personal trainer. Would I pay 5,000 to be 30 lbs less in one year? Yes. And that is my personal training budget for the year. Of course it will take discipline as well, but I am hoping the accountability to a trainer will help.
Its been a nuts week, I moved to a new hotel (ok more like a youth hostel, haha) but I should move into my own place at the end of the month.
I finally ran again today, couch 2-5K week 1. It was my first time running outside in literally years. It was so much harder… I need to do it more often.
So I started my first day of my groupon trial of Washington Sports Club and there are some good and some bad news.
The good? I went back to week 1 of the Couch-to-5K and I felt pretty good, I definitely need to be at week 1, but I didn’t lose all of my cardio endurance during the movie and lazy-fest that followed.
The bad news? Either the Kabul scale was off or I have gained 6 lbs. (lets be honest, faulty scale is plausible, but I definitely am feeling pretty chubby)
Soooo, I am going to finish my month-long trial of WSC and then treat myself to some personal trainer love. I have six months until my cousin’s wedding. I would like to be down 20 lbs by then, but I would be happy with 15.
Yes, I ate a plate of wings after my walk.

So it has definitely been more than a couple days since I came back and I have not started running yet. But I did go on a nice long walk around the neighborhood tonight. I can’t wait to get into my long-term apartment and get a chance to get into a routine. And cook for myself!!
